About the artist
Annette Lillethun is a Thai-Norwegian visual artist currently based in Malta. Born and raised in Thailand, she has since lived in various countries around the world, gaining experiences that continue to inform her artistic practice. She began her studies in Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and later completed her degree at the MCAST Institute for Fine Arts.
Working across a diverse range of mediums, including sculpture, textiles, painting, mixed media and multimedia. Her practice explores themes that are often political and socially engaged. Lillethun’s work draws from personal experience, reflecting on contemporary realities and her interpretation of the world.
