The phrase “go back to the kitchen” is one that many women have been told at some point in their lives. This misogyny is deeply ingrained in our society, to the point that many women feel an inherent calling to fulfil their ‘womanly’ purpose. This work draws attention to this phenomenon, questioning the rise in positive ‘tradwife’ content, and its origins.
